Thank you Bruce for stopping by and leaving a comment.
And good job on your Moon work you've posted lately.
That sure is one nice shot North Coaster put up.
Another shot with all 4 of Jupiters moons showing.

Very nice Craig , I'm also trying to capture Jupiter this Winter after getting an 8 in. astrograph newt.f3.9@800mm fl I tried with a 2x barlow and got faint banding with my cmos cams, do you think I need a 3,4,or 5x to get the right image scale and increase the fl.

The more and heavier glass you put in the mix the less contrast you'll get. I'll bet if you play around with your shots in Lightroom, or which ever program you use, you'll be able to bring out the colors and bands.
Here is the original shot I had to work with. And go ahead and post yours here with the Store Original box checked if you like.

PS I just saw you post to NorthCoast42. He's the Expert.

Thank you Guts the one thing I want to do to the camera support platform is
put a 45* / support in the bracket to put the load on the Drive Unit
to suppress any tiny vibrations.

Craig, that's some nice equipment with awesome mods for the finder. Better stability for those unstable nights, the 45 degree improvement will be a plus.
