Dave Pogue on Apple Photos

Dave has two articles on what Photos will be like at http://www.yahoo.com/tech/tagged/the-pogue-review

At first glance, it does not seem close to Aperture. Dave also said that if you load pictures in Photos they will remain there unless you export them to Aperture or iPhoto. He also said that Photos was a work in progress. Photos will be part of Yosemite 10.10.3 released later this Spring.

I'm thinking this will be a bit messy initially.

You're probably right. It usually takes a while to work the kinks out.
