Very nice shots Re, wish I could have gotten closer to the one I saw today.
He was on the lookout for a meal the way he kept turning his head.

They are neat to watch, this is the second time I have ventured fairly close to this guy! I am really a bit nervous that he will dive bomb me one of these days! LOL!! Who know's maybe another UHHer will be nearby and post those photo's! :lol:

At least you didn't embarrass him with a photo of his open mouth :)
I am so envious of those of you who have the opportunities and make such great photos of such beautiful birds. I've come to the conclusion that every bird in my neighborhood flies away for the whole winter. Even my feeders are being neglected.Thanks for sharing these wonderful photographs!!

nice set. you can't be a fan of raptors and be squeamish! i took a few of a red tail yesterday. they're pretty rough. I'm not sure if I'm going to post. I'm going to sleep on it and decide. maybe i'll post w/ a warning. gary
