Is anyone interested in creating a new topic called "Free Trade"?
I know that all of us have stuff that we do not need or want anymore but have needs for things we do not have. What about trading some of that stuff for stuff that you want or need. The main thing is that NO money is to exchange hands and each person pays the postage on their end.

I did something of the same sort once to a small time local newspaper early in my writing career. They didn't have a kids page in the issues I received so I made a proposal , drafted art, etc, and sent it to the paper. I never heard anything back until about two weeks later and they sent me an issue of the paper on the day they DID run the kids section. Can you imagine how tiny I felt??
But, I learned a valuable lesson that day. Do some research, even before you ask a question cause chances are - - knowing how long humanity has been around - - someone has already asked the question and the answer is there for you to find.
Have a good time here at the forum, especially now that you know a bit more, and search all those things listed at the top of the page so you have a better idea of how things operate here.

You can just make trades there as well if that's what you want to do. You make the listing and make whatever you want the offer to be. If you have something to sell, list it and someone may come and make you a counter offer or offer a trade. If you have something you want to trade for something specific, then you say so (even if you don't want a specific thing in your trade) but it can't happen if you don't list it!! There is no need for money to change hands or bank accounts if you don't want it to.

Well, unless you live close to the person you are trading with both of you will need to pay for shipping. Just make sure you are specific with the terms when you make your listing.

I know the community college for which I teach requires beginning photography students to shoot film first. I know they could use them.

I swapped a couple of vehicle magnets, for a guy to clean my gutters, a couple weeks ago. Sweeet! One of the best swaps I've made in a while.

I like the idea myself. A page where cash is not an option, trades only. I'm in also. If someone doesn't want to participate they certainly don't have to.
