the color here is accurate. might this be a juvenile?
They are usually grayer.

That's the way I know them, I've never seen them any grayer.

I was in my car and pulled up along side of him ... About 20 feet. we've had them in out yard and they can get spirited if you get too close!

We had a condo in Lutz and if we left the door open they would come in.

The brownish is dirt.

Not a juvenile. The adults frequently preen mud into their feathers, hence the "rusty" look.
