Portrait of my Wife

This is my Wife Norma, trying to get a good picture of her. Can't
seem to get it quite right. Nikon D7000,Nikor 50mm 1:1.8. Help me.

first, repost the photo and click "store original" block on the right so the meta data will come with the photo and a full size jpg
Its really hard to do much without both.
Of course from what I have I cannot tell for sure but first thing is make sure your getting plenty of light, enough so you dont need a flash would be ideal

Your wife Norma is a pretty lady so you have a good start.

I agree, I changed the background, I also went into the camera
and checked out some filters and changed the white balance.
Which I didn't know you could do. Tell me what do you think?
