I am trying to remember a worse half-time show at the Super Bowl. I was surprised that Julie Andrews didn't drop down into the stadium. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go......

You should have watched the Kitten and Puppy Bowls this afternoon. They were delightful. I didn't bother watching the human bowl.

I agree. I'm just wondering when real talent will trump special effects?

I noticed a while back that the newer generation has much lower personal values, which shows in their performance in life.

It's called "American Football", the clues in the name. No-one else cares. There is no skill involved, you just have to be bigger than everyone else.

Nobody cares, eh? The most widely watched television event of the year, and nobody cares? You sound as silly as Yogi Berra who once said "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded". Yogi was credited with trying to be funny.

I don't care about the game. It's the only time I watch just for the commercials, and I haven't seen anything worth while tonight.

don't forget the thousands of bigger then anyone else AMERICAN MEN who saved the UK and liberated France from those soccer loving germans

Horrible half time show but black eye peas, and beyonce were worse. At least katy perry didn't gyrate like a strpper like beyonce. I wish that something over the top superbowl would invite the worlds best over the top rock band named KISS TO DO THE HALFTIME SHOW. nOW THAT WOULD BE A SHOW

I opened this thread and now realize it can be misunderstood. To ms. Perry's (SP?) credit, the NFL gives the performer 12 minutes, that is it! Not too many acts are designed to be over and done in 12 minutes. Jagger and Richards both said the toughest show they ever had to script was the half-time in the Ford Field Super Bowl a few years ago. But what we got tonight was aimed at people who were already in bed at that hour. I have to admit that KISS would be awesome, but even they would have trouble with 12 minutes. The amps don't even have a chance to get warmed up. I will never figure out why they don't give it to Disney. That organization IS entertainment. If Disney couldn't figure out how to do it, nobody could.
