Got this pretty early in the daylight morning, maybe an hour after sunrise. It's just a trail along the Bitterroot River in the Lee Metcalf game preserve in Western Montana. Of course I played with the contrast to give it some more Pop. Perhaps too much but it's a start. Comments appreciated. As you know I'm slow in answering them. Sorry!

Nice shot, lightening the road would help the pic in my opinion.

It is very nice shot. I particularly like what the contrast enhancement did for the trees. However, I think the sky looks overdone. In particular the dark blue stripe in the middle of the sky compared with the still cloudless but lighter blue on both sides of it.

lovely place, makes one wonder what's just around the curve in the road...like the contrast both ways, one says cool morning, the other later in morning

Well, like all things photographic, it's a matter of personal taste... if it pleases you, the one who owns the shot, then that is all that matters.... one thing is certain there are as many opinions about pictures as there are pictures.

Thanks for your comment. If it makes you wonder what's around the curve and the contrast speaks in two languages its done its job as being a good pic, imho Thanks

That's a very much appreciated diplomatic answer to "is it still too dark" :-) Have a good one

I like it!! But I would try just a little shadows maybe to lighten it up. It sure is a beautiful place Robin!

I like your modified path. Your pp, seems to me, not only to have lightened the path but also the trees on the left side of the photo, which I thought were too dark in the first rendition. What I like about the modified path is that the tree all the way at the end still has that special light, and I love the gold and blue colors.

Hey Erv Thanks for your advice and for looking. It is quite pretty. When I took the picture I had no idea it would turn out the way it did which is basically pretty pretty. I'll play with it some more. That's half the fun
