Are these headshots at a celebrity event?

A sharpie would be my first choice.

If you're asking about signing prints for archival purposes, then I would suggest Sakura Pigma Micron 05 black pen for glossy prints and a soft, black lead pencil (e.g., Palomino Blackwing 602 or General's Layout No. 555) for matte prints.

I use these:

They work great on all kinds of paper, including photo prints.
Available at most craft stores, or online.

David, curious why not the pen on Matte prints? Never tried a pencil, is it durable? Thanks

All the photographers I knew from my west coast days, from 1965 and on, used a #2 lead pencil for signing their prints. Usualy to the right just below the print on the archival mount board. Such a signature would outlive any prints as graphite does not fade - ever.

No. 2 Pencil lightly on the mount board or on the print if matte paper

I use the fine point Sharpie's. I have them in a bunch of colors and silver, gold and copper tone. It depends on the background which color I use.

All these 'old' things worn or used by 'famous people' that are signed with a sharpi are usually considered fake.....

use a pencil if you can write well and legibly. Create an Artistic sign or scarab if your signature is merely a squiggle.
