We debated the issue of marajuana over alcohol.
Tobacco kills the most they just don't want to leave ecigs
alone.

marijuana might be safer than alcohol but does that justify smoking it as it is still toxic to the body. I have even heard that marijuana is safer to smoke than tobacco. What else can we say to justify the use of marijuana?

As for E-Cigs, if the product is no safer than tobacco then what is the point? I have COPD. Anything other than pure oxygen going into my lungs is bad. The delivery of anything by any means entering the lungs is bad for your health. It would be foolish of me to smoke E-Cigs or smoke marijuana after years of damage I have done to myself with cigarettes. By the way, I don't drink alcohol either.

I'm no longer good at drinking alcohol.....
Ecigs is 99% safer that cigarettes. They even add amonia to tobacco to up the affects of nicotene. They last study they did where it said it can produce formaldahyde.
They turned up the heat far higher than any person who uses the device would.
Makers of the juice in the US regulate themselves to the highest of standards. Now if you buy your juice form China well all bets are off.
There are four ingredients that are in ecigs; polyglycerine which is used also in asthma inhalers. Vegetable glycerine, which if you have ever been to a concert or haunted house used in a fog machine, nicotene and food flavoring and coloring. Or some use the polyglecerine and veg glycerine together. Then below that there is a whick inside the containes when heated produces the vapor.
After I started to use ecigs exclusively for 6 months I got a chest xray after 6 months my lungs started to clear.
While it isn't good to ingest anything into your lungs at least there is a safer alternative. You can also purchase the juice with zero nicotene.
There are thousands of people that have started their own businesses and doing quite well. Also since they arent a tobacco product. It pisses local govts off because they cannot tax them. I can go on an on. But as you know there is a lot of money to be made in misery and sickness.

Anything done to excess is bad for you. Moderation is key.

I don't know jack about ecigs-
I would guess that there will be a shakeout and debate about what exactly the ecig manufacturing companies are putting into their formulas.

Look for 'all natural' or 'organic' ecig formulas if they don't already have them ...

I suppose 10-20 years from now we may be hearing about people with e-lung from smoking ecigs... stay tuned.

Lol e-lung you might be right.
I can also tell from personal experience that
i noticed an immediate change in my stamina
after a couple of weeks using ecigs exclusively.
Also say what you will about Boehner, he stepped in
and asked that if the FDA makes a ruling. Set the grandfather clause as to whats allowable to 2014.

I only use US made juices.

While I can not justify the use of E-Cigs I can only see it as swapping one habit for another and putting anything into your lungs can not be good. My own brother lives for cigarette. He would rather smoke that eat. Even after seeing what it has done to me he still refuses to give up the habit.

E-Cigs may well be the less of two evils but it is still an evil to put anything into your lungs. I used Chantix to kick my three pack a day habit. The patch didn't work as it did not remove the urge to smoke - more as a pacifier and isn't that is what an E-Cig is? Just a pacifier for smokers. The first thing that a smoker will say to justify his habit is that he enjoys smoking cigarettes knowing that it is killing him. His second excuse is that it is his right to smoke. I know this because I had used both excuses for years and I hear my brother saying the same back at me.

Well, my lungs are clear now as well but the damage is done and with COPD I will never get any better. Don't try to justify a bad habit but give up the habit entirely is what I am saying.

The point is I loved to smoke, I found a safer alternative.
We all have something we are addicted to.
Some people are addicted to sugar. We in this country ingest way more sugar than necessary which is leading to an obesity epidemic. Some people drink soft drinks like water which is harmful as well sugar free or not.
The abuse of sugar in the world is just as bad which no one dares talk about.

If your brother is addicted to smokes like you say. You might want to encourage him to give vaping a try.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone

Since I have given up smoking then I qualify to cast stones. If it is a habit then give it up completely.

So... About the only difference that I have been able to disconcert between alcoholics and stoners is that drunks run stop signs, stoners stop and wait for them to turn green....

It would be foolish for you to smoke anything or even inhale anything other than perhaps some medicinal vapor for your lungs but this isn't true for everybody. If you were going to try marijuana (I'm guessing you aren't) edibles would probably be all that would make sense.
