This screecher and her mate have claimed the pineapple palm about 20 yards from my patio. so, I live with the screech hour after hour! the payoff is that they have nested here for a few years and last year's babies made it out of the nest ... Escaping the osprey which circle daily. we'll see what happens this year!

Great shots. Let the Osprey circle all it wants. It will never touch young birds.

Wow, what a beauty! I'd be way too stressed to want that kind of wildlife drama in my backyard. I didn't realize osprey ate anything but fish.

I don't think that osprey eat the chicks but there are red shouldered hawks around too. I am no expert but have seen the nest attacked.

I was looking back at some of my posts and saw your reply... well, things went very well this year! We had five chicks prancing through the yard ... Growing before our eyes! Will post some pics from the past month... Not great but had to catch them as I could!
