Challenge Jan. 26-28 What Inspires You?

What inspires you?
Many of us pick up our cameras because we have to meet todays challenge or have a gathering we want to record. However the next three days is for you to think about and illustrate what it is that really inspires you to pick up your camera and create wonderful images for others to see. It could be your family, or the beauty that mother nature provides us. Or, it could be the struggle of human existence. What ever it is go out and photograph it using all the skills you have learned here and in a way that the viewer will see as you see.
The best and most beautiful things in the world can not be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller
Family
Mother Nature

Thanks Bushido for hosting! Looks like a great challenge. Love your b/w's All are great! Love #1!
One of the things that inspire me, is to be able to photograph things in motion. I have been going to rodeos for 4 years now and always look forward to them. These are samples of what I took today. It also follows the ISO challenge as even though there was a fair amount of light...I still had to put the ISO to 640 and/or 800.

You stopped them in their tracks!
Many things inspire me...I am inspired by the works I see posted on UHH and challenged to try new things, different perspectives and techniques.
I am inspired by what I see to try some new editing software

Nature's unexpected beauty fills me with awe and it inspires me to try capturing some of that "awe"

The ocean, in any kind of weather, has always inspired me. It is where I go for respite, to think, to work out something with which I might be wrestling

I am inspired by color and simplicity (the ocean again :) )

Two of my biggest inspirations
Truly inspired by the excitement and spontaneity my grandson captures - and the joy of seeing his face when he won some ribbons for his efforts

Bushido thanks for hosting the challenge.
This may seem ''nyah-nyah'' but the inspiration I get from here in unmeasurable. So many people, mostly unknown to them, have and still are an inspiration to me and afford me the pleasure to go out, nearly daily and try out some sort of a few photos that I had viewed the day before.
This said, in all humility, what inspires me a lot is being out alone and choosing a special spot for a special happening such as a sunrise, an upcoming storm (I'd love to be in CT right now) or maybe I saw a photo with lighting that pleased me and I will want to try it out, not copying but doing what I see.
Having never done photography with anyone, I know of nobody here who does photography, Portland promises to be an inspirational gift.
Want to thank you all for all that I (we) have learned
Peace and early morning while rambling....
