Ship in Bottle with 60MM Macro

I think I should have pushed ASA up some so I could have shot at a high F stop to get a bit more focal depth.

Too much reflection from the illumination source over the art

One of the toughest tasks when photography glass is controlling glare. there is a lot of glare from the light source on the top of the bottle and it obscures your subject. Unfortunately, when you are photographing at an exhibition or museum, you are pretty much limited to the lighting they provide. I always try to get diffused light whenever I can. that might not have been an option here.

Yes, I agree on all counts, and now that I look back at it I could have done a much better job, but my comment only comes because of what I have already learned here in the last few days.

Proper macro-photography techniques take time to assimilate and execute. Hang in there.
