Nice lighting and interesting subject. The hatch pattern and rust texture screams stack me...

I want to thank all of you for commenting
The photo below compares the SOOC on the left to the processed photo on the right. Processing: 1- cloned out the center shaft, 2- levels, 3- sharpening

To both A-PeeR and Nikonian72: This photo is from my archive and it's from my pre-stacking era. The potato peeler is missing. Probably kidnapped and sold for millions of dollars on eBay. I appreciate the fact that you took time to comment. :D

very cool subject - looks about as dangerous as anything I can think of. I like the how the sharp part contrasts with the rust, how it is supposed to be, vs what it became.

Thanks  I like your time comparison. I too like the contrasting textures as my eye journeys along the in-focus slice.

I can't put my finger on exactly why I like it but, I do like it very much  I think if it were stacked, it would loose a little something. This shows a good eye for getting something from seemingly nothing

Thank you  Sometimes a thin in-focus slice running in the correct direction adds an interesting visual path.
