Yup, sent mine in. Let's see how long it takes to get it back.
It was done within a few days, however someone in Nikon's shipping dept. dropped the ball and sent it to the wrong city! They somehow wrote the wrong zip code down. Try calling Nikon and UPS on a weekend. It took awhile but I finally got it back. No apologies from them! I have no idea what they did as it isn't specified on the statement, but I had to reset the camera settings back to where I had them. So far so good.
