This is the best I could get out of my Camera Lens. Should have shot f/6.3 and iSO 1600
150-600m
@ 550mm
30 sec
f/8
ISO 1000

Thank you Astroturf. It's time to put it in the 8" scope and see if I can gather some more light for the tail.

Looks good Craig! Getting clear skies, finding it and shooting it are all challenges. I'm assuming that was unguided, right?

Thank you Mike, my Nikon D600 and Tamron 150-600mm Lens was guided for 30 sec. by my inexpensive NexStar DS 2114 drive with a homemade bracket.
Sat night I hope to get a fix on the Comet Lovejoy with my Meade 8" Telescope used as a Prime Focus.

Nice well defined head and solid tail and your complaining?
You've gotten much better pictures with your homemade setup than most.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you Jim. Here is 1 I took last night with the 8" Telescope,
Prime Focus.
30 sec
ISO 2000
f/6.3 w/Focal Reducer
Just increased the Exposure and Darkened the Black in Lightroom.
