I have been having fun this winter shooting birds at my feeders. This blue jay was taken with my Sigma 150-500 mounted on a Canon Rebel T2i on Jan 10 with settings at f/6.3, ISO 640, 1/500th and the lens at 340mm. Because of the location of my feeders I have to shoot through two double pane sliding glass doors so there are four layers of glass between me and the birds. I am in the north country and it was about zero outside so opening doors not only chases the birds but is not really an option. This is a cropped image sized to 18 inches by 9 inches at 300 pixels per inch. I plan on sharing more as the days move on.
