Thank you Erv. Since the rider is a good friend of mine I wanted to do him proud.

The perspective is perfect for the shot. The black and white treatment makes it go. I like it a lot.
Thanks John. I was born in Michigan (Flint), so we fellows get around a lot. Thanks for your kind words.

Thank you deb. The shadows and light had a lot to do with giving this some interesting contrast.
Great shot Bob...so did it end up being the book cover?

Thanks for the compliment WAR1OCK. A photo very much like the b&w one I posted ended up on Charles' book, which is a story in itself. Charles had asked me to shoot several shots of a cavalryman's boots that he could submit to his publisher. While he was there, I gave him one of my cameras and told him he should shoot some of his own. As it turns out, it was one of Charles' own photos that made the cover. He was justifiably proud of that accomplishment. A copy of his photo appears below on a mockup of the book's cover. I always kid him when I see him, saying " ..... and I helped!"

Well, that's still pretty cool. I would definitely say you can take some credit. :-)

Good work Bob.
Thanks Jolly Roger. While I am competent in a number of styles, I believe Low Key is my favorite.
