Thanks for that I was stationed there for two years 1976-1978
back there for a week in November, still using bamboo for scaffolding! Hong Kong still holds a special place in my heart.

I noticed that bamboo. That's a great material that's just starting to be used for more things in the west. It's a very versatile material, and it grows very fast.

B & W is my favorite medium. This fellow, Fan Ho, was an excellent photographer in my opinion, especially for being self taught. Thanks for sharing these wonderful old photos Jerryc41.

What jumps out is the outstanding use of light and contrast. You used to hear about that when b&w was used quite a bit, but not so much anymore.
