Thanks, Gene. As always your comments are filled with knowledge. BTW: love the quote about composition & gravity.

Hey Gene, love the blog and appreciate you for sharing.

If you don't mind, I almost made the Wireless Mod when it was first published here, but wondered why I would need it. I use the cable supplied with my camera to tether to my phone and see the remote as one more thing to carry, but look to you for experience. Is it worth it? Do you really find you need the WiFi, etc., or could you achieve the same wired?

Looking forward to your replies! S-

The advantage of wireless is in being able to shoot from 10-15 ft away. Action around a bird feeder or in a butterfly garden is easier to capture when there is no one near the camera. Naturally, wired is faster. I don't save images to the Android, I only use it for camera control. Hey, for $35 it's a real bargain. And DSLR Dashboar is pretty stable.

That makes sense and I appreciate the reply. Thank you and 'see you out there!' S-

On a side, DSLR Controller vs. DSLR Dashboard? I know it's free vs. paid, but curious if you have other thoughts.

Dashboard works with Nikon and Canon, Controller only Canon, the last time I looked at it. I think functionally they are similar. I sent the Dashboard guy a $10 donation because I liked the software so much.
