What do you all use? I like Lightroom but have been taking an intro course that uses Bridge. What are your feelings?

I started out with bridge, learned the basics, and then progressed into LR.

Bridge is a file browser that can read all file formats in the Adobe portfolio. It has lots of excellent features, and if you use other adobe apps it is the best application to use.
LR is an image and mov catalog that has excellent file management tools.
LR has a streamlined user interface, Bridge is a bit more cumbersome.
Both can make collections, comparisons, image tagging (colors and stars), image tagging, numerous filters (that you can save) to create selections, renaming, etc.
I used Bridge for years, but found LR faster and easier, once you understand the difference between a browser and a catalog.

That's like comparing a bicycle and a semi tractor. They just aren't the same thing.
Lightroom is primarily an editing program and more comparable to Adobe Camera RAW, Photoshop CS6, and the Editor program in Photoshop Elements.
Of course it also does the cataloging which you can compare (favorably) to the Organizer of Photoshop Elements.
Lightroom also does other stuff such as photo books, links to Facebook and Costco, slide shows, etc.
