I went out this afternoon and shot 115 photos.card 1 raw card 2 jpg. Of the 115 I shot 4 with an nd filter. I can see the 4 on both cards in camera. When importing them to lightroom from either card They do not show up in lightroom. All other photos are fine. What gives ?

That's very strange. (Insert Twilight Zone theme here.)

Are they photos missing from Lightroom or are they showing up as a blank or grey frame?

Did you use a card reader or import with the camera hooked up to the computer? Which ever way you did it, try the other. I don't know if it makes a difference, I'm just grasping at straws.

Try using the process of elimination. Use a different SD/CF card and see if you can replicate the problem.

I was using a card reader. When I pluged the camera in, the missing files are now visible.
time to get a new card reader.
thanks everyone for your input.

Hallelujah! I'm thrilled that I came up with the lucky guess. Now the big question is WHY those four files and not the others. Hmmm.

Remove card from camera. Place it in a card reader and open folder on your PC. If images are in the folder look at info/data to compare sizes with other images.

Click on one and see if you can open it with a generic photo product. If on a Mac use Preview. Let us know.
