I recently added Perfect Photo 9 software to enhance my LR 5, I am a student and have to export pics to thumb drive for class evaluation. Cannot load any pics to thumb drive, I have used same procedure for 30-35 thumb drive exports previously. There is zero on new software for exporting info?

Okay, process of elimination . . .

- Can you copy anything to/from the thumb drive using Windows Explorer? Does it have any space left on it?

- Not sure what Perfect Photo Suite 9.0 has to do with things. Are you attempting to use some export process from within it or are you attempting to export from LR?

- Assuming you're using LR, after choosing the photos to export and clicking the 'Export' button, does the Export dialog box open? Can you choose the thumb drive as a destination within the export dialog?

- What, specifically, happens when you click the final button?

Yes, I have a bunch of new and or used 4G devices. I export from LR as I have been doing for 2-years plus, dialog box opens, but will not allow me to load onto thumb drive, box appears to load disc or cd, I use :F drive location for thumb drive.

To summarize, ignoring Perfect Photo 9 and 4G network phones:

You have images in lightroom which you want to export to a USB stick which you believe to be Drive F.

Is this correct?

Yes, Perfect Photo Suite may not be the issue, when I get the dialog box there is no drive area showing to choose F: G: or H: Drive locations. Only Hard Drive, CD/DVD, and various PPS locations.

Sounds like a bad USB drive, USB port if using an outboard reader, or bad card reader if it is an internal reader.

I can export photos out of windows photo to the same drive, have switched the sticks as well, new out of box, erased used ones, ? I may have done the infamous button tap somewhere along the way in LR, like right clicking by mistake, don't know, have re-pushed, unpushed, de-pushed...

One more thing, after opening dialog box, I would usually click on export, now a new box appears directing me to insert disc in F: drive, when I already have the thumb drive in the H: USB port.

In the export dialogue, the the following:

Export Location
Export to: Choose "Choose folder Later"

Now click on the Choose button and navigate to the USB removable drives section. In the image below, the only active USB drive is "M".

Yesterday, that drive had a different name, so it may be that your "f" drive is now something else.

Change drop down to Specific Folder

My fault, I was thinking of something else (irrelevant to this thread), apologies etc.
