The shot of the Nazi ceremony was taken at the Odeon Theatre Platz in Munich. Its a rather distinctive building, I'm surprised they couldn't identify it.

This link has been posted on the hog at least 2 other times in the last few months.
And I hope no one thinks they are as shot. Almost all started out as B&W they have been enhanced and colorized via computer. Many of the originals are really quite degraded and took a lot of very skilled work to make look this good. On one of the other posts it was remarked on how far the tech for doing this had advanced since Ted Turner TV colorized all those old B&W movies.

Oh, as a retired history teacher I have enjoyed them every time I have seen them. I just wish it was in slide show so I could linger on some of them more. And if they had been available when I was still teaching I could have done a lot with them as part of my lesson plans. Anyone have a time machine handy so I can slip them back to myself several years ago?

I was mesmerized... truly....that was amazing

Who knows...maybe the pictures we take today will be set to beautiful music in the future
