A Walk Along the Water

Yesterday afternoon, I met Philo (aka Bob Gardner who was in the area for a brief stay) for a short hike and some shooting along some marsh in central Marin. It had been really foggy all day, but cleared just enough for fairly good light. The following shots represent some of the things we saw.

When I mentioned in my most recent post that I would never hand hold the Tamron 150-600 again, I lied. The birds were shot with that lens on the 7D, the landscapes were shot with the 60D and the 18-200mm.

Beautiful landscapes and the water fowl are really neat. Like those little guys with the rust colored hair-do's.

Loving the last two, that duck must be related to Guy Fieri with his spiked hair!

Thank you Cwilson. I'm glad you enjoyed these. I think that bird is a Merganser, but I'm far from being a bird authority.
