Thanks nascar. The plugin did a good job of bringing out the details in the cat's coat and softening the edges of the blankets.

Thank you M.T. There were no feathers to speak of ..... when Noelle eats a bird, she leaves the feathers outside on the deck.

Thanks Swamp-Cork. I actually converted this photo to b&w, then on a separate layer, added a hint of sepia tone. I turned that layer into a mask, and used a brush to bring back the black and white of the blanket and faux fur of the throw behind the cat's head. This was my first attempt at split-toning.
