Photographic paper for pinhole photography

I've been running low on Harmon Direct Positive paper for pinhole photography and (as usual) I found out to late that it's out of production until Ilford finds a way of making it themselves. My question to the pinhole shooters is if anyone has used photo paper and what kind for their pinhole pics. Photo paper being less expensive than film I figured I try it with my cameras before I run out of direct positive paper. Any help with type, developing times and such would be greatly appreciated.

I took a class many years ago where the instructor had us use regular single weight photo paper in pinhole cameras. That resulted in a paper negative, which we used to make positive contact prints. The look was very textured since you were exposing through a piece of paper.

You might do well to contact Blue Moon Camera and Machine in Portland, Oregon. They do not do gigital, only film and related stuff. They specialize in pinhole stuff, ask to speak with Zeb Andrews.

For the photos I used to take, I just purchased whatever standard weight paper I could get. Worked fine for me, but it's been years.

As a matter of fact, I can't imagine what is different about "special" pinhole paper, other than maybe they can charge more.

I could be wrong, it happened once.

Regular photo paper in a pinhole camera will yield a negative image, which could be contact printed if you want a positive. The OP was looking for reversal paper, so it is a positive out of the camera.
