The reported French massacre today could not have taken place....

This must be a made-up story.....it supposedly happened in a totally "gun-free" zone in a country which has some of the strictest "gun control" laws extant. If this did happen, it just shows that only the law-abiding are "controlled" by gun control laws. It should tell us that the only thing which might have stopped this attack would be good guys with guns....and in this part of the world, even the police didn't have them. My prayers go out to the families of the victims....it's a tragedy that well-intentioned but illogical laws were in effect here which allowed this massacre to happen.

Yeap, in total agreement!
My idea of gun control is 2" groups at 20 yards with a handgun. 2" groups at 100 yards with iron sights on my AR.

So using your logic, the U.S. should have the lowest murder rate per capita instead of one of the highest seeing as it has one of the highest guns per capita rates in the world.

The top ten nations with the highest murder rates are in South America and Africa. I got that tidbit from CNN, Hardly a hotbed of "Right Wing" thinking!

If the French were better armed they could be like us: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/12/31/woman-accidentally-shot-and-killed-by-2-year-old-in-walmart/

I take it you're insinuating that the French should be like us, all guns, all the time...

If that's so, why do we have 30 gun deaths daily? The US is SO advanced...yeah.

Oh, and that statistic was from Jan '13.

if it happened here it would be another ho-hum story after 1 or 2 news cycles, we had 278 mass shootings in 2014.

So true. That's rather sad to realize and contemplate, isn't it?
