Best Aftermarket Flash for SONY NEX 5T

I want to buy a flash for my SONY NEX 5T but I would like to find one suitable for less than what the cost of the factory flash is. So far I have looked at the Altura Photo Speedlite and the Yonguo unit.

I also need to know if either of these will need an additional hot shoe adapter and which one I will need.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure about the precise model, but I will vouch for Yongnuo's quality. I have a full feature flash for my DSLR and it is just great, especially for the price.

Do you have to use an adapter for the hot show to use the Yonguo?

It works just like the comparable canon model.

Unfortunately I don't know what that means. Sorry about that. I am pretty new to all of this so hopefully you can explain it to me.

What I mean is that Yongnuo makes exact copies of brand name manufacturers' products (Nikon canon etc) that perform as well for less than half the price.

The Yongnuo is great. I use several for my portable studio setup. I don't know the Nex 5T, but my a6000 has that multi interface shoe, so you probably will have to buy an adapter.
