Has anyone use this service? Is it a good idea to do? This is the opening portion of their ad:

"WinZip® Driver Updater has an extensive database of the latest and most up-to-date drivers for software and hardware devices. Driver updater will scan your system and identify outdated Windows drivers. When an outdated Windows driver is found you can update the driver with a single click as well as:
Update outdated drivers
Backup and restore your drivers
Driver exclusion list for drivers that are already up to date
Scheduled driver scans to ensure your PC is always up-to-date
Full compatibility with all of the latest operating systems and devices
Developed by a Microsoft® gold certified partner"

and here is the link:

I wouldn't install it, it may be more trouble than it's worth.

I have been reluctant; was looking for anyone who had a good experience with it

I've used SlimDrivers for years

Also, check out File Hippo for outdated software.

Looked at SlimDrivers and their ad is pretty much the same as Win-Zip's. Looked at the Hippo and the programs they claim to keep up to date are updated automatically by those publishers.

Talked to one of the instructors at the local Senior Center's computer class and her response was, basically, in my words "Why would you need it?"

Gentlemen, thank you - appreciate your help. I'm going to just let it go by.

As with most of these "claimed" better computer activity programs, you'd better be prepared to open your wallet when the program finds necessary upgrades and "missing" files.
