With all the smog in So Ca I didn't think you could see a moon. Just joking, I like #1 and #4

Thanks Kabouey! And you're right, sometimes I'm surprised myself when I can actually see the moon! I planned on going out a yesterday when the mountains were brighter, but it was one of those smoggier days, so I'll have to wait till next month and try again... But the stars... How I long to live where you can actually SEE them...

Great shots. I remember those days in So. Cal. What stars?? Found stars on a road trip on the back roads in AZ. Beautiful

Thanks Irvingite and SueMac! Yeah, there are some stars in the sidewalks in LA, but I prefer the ones in the sky!

I particularly like no 3. The city lights and wispy clouds really make it outstanding.

I enjoyed seeing your moon over the moutain shots. If you want to do this right, photograph the moon when full and high and copy it to the moutain shot. You can expand the moon and make the color match the rest of the scene. David

You not only can see the stars, but you can almost reach out and hold one. On a full moon it's almost like a vapor light.

Hi David, and thanks for your comments! I fear I'm not that good at photoshop, or I would do exactly that! I'll try again next month (weather permitting) but a day earlier, or maybe by then I can get a graded ND filter. It's always fun trying to get a better shot "next time"!
