Some of you like automobile pictures. 'The older the better' is my preference. I've collected my pictures of radiator caps into 2 folders on Flickr. Entitled "hood ornaments." Doubt that I'll ever do more tweaking or organizing of them. For you enjoyment:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/whmcpherson/setsWow, that's quite a collection of hood ornaments Wayne. Most appear to be in pretty good condition. You should be very proud of the fine collection you have thus far. I too love photographing old cars. This coming April I'm heading to White Georgia where they have 30 acres of old rusty cars...none newer that 1972. I'll have to keep my eye out for hood ornaments! P.s...I enjoy looking a a few of your other albums and photos. You do a really great job, very impressive.
Thank you, James, for your kind words. Don't get the impression that any of the radiator caps are ours -- only one, the 1934 Ford Greyhound wearing a knit sweater. Almost all of the pictures were taken at AACA (Antique Auto Club of Am) shows. Many at the annual fall show in Hershey PA and others taken at the Grand National meet in Denver in 2005. As you have seen, most of my pictures 'nowadays' are baseball. I volunteer for our university team and for the summer 'town team.' The families (especially moms!) love seeing their sons in baseball pics! James, I'll be looking for your April pictures of those cars! Travel safe.
Nashville is not far from Union City. Ever been to the Dixie Gun Works museum? Old cars plus lots of other good old stuff that I like! And I believe admission was only a couple of bucks.

Wayne--
Great collection of photos. I am looking for a lunging fencer to put on my car, so if you ever see one, let me know.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/whmcpherson/setsGrowing up in the family auto parts business that catered to classic and antique car restorers, I have seen many examples of the items you have captured. Those are some beautiful images. It is too bad that modern safety rules have made those beautiful sculptured works of art a thing of the past. Keep up the good work!

Nice job Square Root, the photos and the organization are top notch.
Thanks to each of you for your compliments. I'm pleased that you enjoyed the pics. As I pick up more info, I will update a few of the titles to further identify them.
