Shot on Dec 26 at about 1:43 PM from about 30 yards. Camera 7D with Canon 300mm F/2.8 with 1.4 Canon extender. 1/100 sec, f/6.3 and ISO 200. Shot off a RRS CF tripod with Jobu gimbal head. Might be the same Eagle, I forgot to get its name.

Thanks, it has been a very slow year on Lake CdA ID. It was very cold and I jumped out of my car and set up the tripod to get a quick shot before it flew, after I got the shot I realized how cold I was, forgot to put on my coat.

Thanks Erv, 7 degrees this morning and about to head out again. When I was younger I did go out to hunt at the same or colder temps. Now that I'm older you'd think I'd know better but some things never change and I don't even eat what I "shoot" today...Ron

Thanks, they're only here in numbers for about 5 to 6 weeks a year and with rain, fog and low clouds you are thankful for any sunny day no matter how cold it is...Ron

I found your photo on Photo Gallery, maybe your photos are on page 2,etc. sometimes. Pics are moved off page 1 as more are posted by everyone.
