After seeing some pictures from an Olympus PL5 posted on here I decided I wanted something smaller to carry with me. I bought an older model yesterday. It's a Sony NEX 5T, and tried it out today. It was a display camera and I got it for $218.00. Did I get a good deal? Here's a few pictures from today. Nothing special, just playing around with it. These were all taken in auto.
I can't comment on the price but it seems to take pretty decent images so if you are happy with it the I would say yes, it was a good deal.
Number 2 is screaming for attention and three has a good balance between the sky and the corn field (?).
I guess you had to be there??? It was a beautiful day, that's for sure... The camera looks like it works pretty darn good..
Looks good to me. Should be a good camera for you.

Thanks. I think when it was the new model it sold for close to $700.00 It seems to do very well.

Thanks. It was a very pretty day even though it was cold. I think I'll like the camera. I have a Canon DSLR but to carry around I think this will be good.

Wow Diana!!! Looks like you got a great deal from looking at these awesome shots!!! And I would say that it was the girl behind the camera that made them great.

Duplicate post ..... pls see below.
I think your logic was sound ..... when I got my new Canon SX60, I did the same as you ..... went on an outing and shot in Automatic the whole day. As someone pointed out, Automatic is a viable mode to shoot in ..... it shows the camera's capabilities to capture light and produce crisp, saturated photos. You did well for a first time out with new equipment Diana.
:D You did very good Diana , nice photos , good subject matters nice comp. GOOD JOB.
can't go wrong with a Sony ;) ;)
I would say you made a good investment.

Thanks Erv. I think it's a good one. All the girl behind the camera did was point and shoot. lol. Haven't had a chance to really give it a good try yet. Son is coming home tomorrow so all the family will be here. That's when it will get a work out. I was impressed with it though.
