Christmas Chicken

This chicken was dropped off and showed up at our house just a couple days before Christmas. He has found our bird feeder and we feed him cracked corn. He roosts in one of the pine trees next to the house. The Christmas lights are the reflection of our Christmas tree in the window.

Wonderful photo: the unusual subject in an unusual setting; the pose, the colors; the lights. I like that you didn't over-pp the photo. I'm uncomfortable with others who are telling you that this is a good "shot." :) :) Thanks for sharing your story and the photo.

Thank you for your comments. That was straight from the camera. Canon sx 50. I don't do pp. haven't gotten that far.

He's a beautiful bird. I had been photographing the reflections and when I saw that he had roosted in them it was a "wow". Thank you.
