This is my first time editing old photos.....looking for ways to improve...your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
I have many old pixs of the kids when they were young. I must copy and PS them. Nice PS work. :-)
I am not sure at all what you are looking for here. Kudos?
Not from me:
- You killed the children with the tone adjustment.
- The choice of uncluttered background is poor.
- The masking is not good, look at the hairs that went missing, especially on the boy on the left. Curls on the girl's right side are gone.
If one can see that on a ridiculous thumbnail size, imagine what can be found, had you posted the originals.
This is what you get in the photo analysis forum: an analysis w/o comment on nostalgia or potential cuteness.
What editing program did you use ?

No need to be so harsh. Great article in the postings today about C&C, great reading, I recommend it English Wolf
Carl A- I used photoshop elements 8, thanks to all for the critique it was much appreciate...I will try again at this restoration.
It is not about harsh but about being honest, big difference.

You're in the wrong forum, this isn't Photo Analysis, it's the Photo Gallery. If you would have eliminated that last sentence you wouldn't have sounded like a jerk especially on someone new........
Sorry didn't realize I was in wrong forum I will take better care in the future where I post....thanks for pointing this out to me...as for the picture Im about to give up was just trying to re-do an old faded photo and I think its a hopeless cause. I have tried to fix the errors that were pointed out and I just get back to the old picture..

Why is your demeanor always in the nasty mode.

I wasn't replying to you---you are in the right forum, English Wolf was lost and the one with the attitude. For those that think I'm wrong to stand up for a new member as was posted earlier today in another thread----too bad.........

I think the original pic is just fine. Sometimes the picture is what it is. The only thing I would do is clone same color over the bright light found in the upper right hand corner. By taking away too much from the photo you steal away part of the memory. Don't be discouraged there are many photo opportunities in your future where your editing expertise will flourish!!! keep up the good work and keep posting! Blessings to you! Angie

Big difference? Why can't one be honest without being harsh? 8-)

I don't think you are wrong in this case at all. I applaud you. Isn't it rather interesting that EW has never posted a picture for any kind of critique?
Anyway, good for you Coco, and Kruse, never feel bullied by anyone in here. Let them huff and puff, they can't blow anything down. 8-)
