Hi all.
I am thinking about buying a Canon M because prices dropped dramacillay here in Italy. I have a special offer of a Canon M+22mm+flash+adapter for 199 euro new. The price is really tempting but I read that there are some issues and quirks on this camera.
I use a sony RX100 for compact portable camera but not very much. I only use it on holidays as a light travel camera when I don't bring around my E-P5 or D7100.
Can anybody who owns the too make a comparison or give some feedback on IQ and handling for the Canon?
Do you think it can be a viable alternative to the Sony?
Thanks
I have an EOS M with the 22mm lens, as well as an EF-S adapter. I've shot images and video that looks as good, and possibly better than a Rebel DSLR. I bought mine after the price cut, and it did fall short of the Sony competiton at the original price. Even after a BIOS update, the focus is still a tad on the slow side. For the going price now, I think it's well worth it.
I actually use this camera primarily to shoot video. I have Magic Lantern installed, which adds some pretty cool features.

Thanks. Do you think it could be a substitute of the Sony RX100?
The RX100 is more of a point and shoot camera. No doubt very good for what it is designed to do. The Canon is a mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses. The a6000 would be the counterpart in the current Sony line.
