Thanks, Tim. These were kind of an experiment. I shot about 70 today keeping about 52. I used my 200mm lens through the glass plate as usual. I wanted to see how far I could enlarge them in cs5 before they started to go bad. I have a bunch more, but this is basically how they all are.
Nice shot that first one...you NAILED the focus on his eye/beak...did you notice that?
It "makes" the photo....in my opinion.
Thanks. I set everything to spot metering. I aim for their eyes. Birds are tough because they are always rapidly cocking their heads. There were many photos that were very well focused but would have a slight blur on their beaks. These were alright to look at at regular size but the blur would be noticeable when I tried to enlarge them.
