I know what you mean. Actually when I look out of my eyes I think I'm that old, but things change when I look in the mirror. One of my son's is just finishing a house he was contracted to build for his older brother. That poor guy decided to build it alone to save some money for his brother. Like you, he is a contractor and does beautiful work, but this house turned out to be bigger than first planned. The brother and family are moving in in a few days so I thought he would get some rest. I just found out he is starting another contract home for someone locally as soon as he decides to start. He has three kids in sports and supports them when ever he can. I don't know how you and my son can keep up the pace.

My Dad pounded the work ethic in to me. After I got big enough, I had to do all the work around the house. I think I was 10 when he taught me how to shingle the roof.:) But I couldn't take it and moved out of the house at 14. Been a worker sense then. But I am the type that has to keep busy. Janny says I still have the willpower of a 20 year old.:) Most days I do, and there are some I do feel my age.:)

Sounds like we had the same father. I left home after refusing his abuse any longer. I don't think he even knew he was so physically abusive since he grew up in a family even worse. It wasn't all bad but at the age of 12 , I cut all the fire wood to keep the house warm in the winter, could build a wall, plumb a water line and shingle a house like you. You either learn a work ethic or spend you life in trouble. So aside from my legs I'm pretty healthy and still pretty strong for nearly 70 years young. My avitar is one of my grandson's at his uncle's wedding. Love what he did with food to his tux. Have a good night. Leon.

Leon,

I empathize. I can still get around pretty well, but getting up and down from a kneeling position isn't near as fun as it used to be....

Hope you and your family have a fine holiday.

Nice action shots Leon and great white balance too. Gym's are hard to get that right. Love the crop on #3. The faces tell it all.
