In the winter time I take carrots to the cemetery and hand feed the deer herd that stays there. Two of them will let me scratch their head while I feed them. Awesome! This time there was someones trash beside the road. This doe had got the sunflower seed bag caught on her nose, snout, ??. She did not seem to be in any distress. I did clean up the thoughtless persons mess. Good for me!

at this time of year they are very hungry, and they will eat almost anything.

Well, not salted certainly, but Black Oiled Sunflower Seeds have a lot of good nutrition. I feed them daily to my horse as a supplement. Horses love them! :-)

At least you were paid for it, i entered mine in the local REA contest and all i received was recognition. First place, and I had my photo sent along with all of their bills to the customers.
