Thanks for looking in Apaflo. You are referring to Baby blue eyes. This is an adult walrus. The blue tint in his eye is most likely a reflection. Usually they are a cinamon color.

Where are the tusks? It's a baby. Or at least very very young.

Walrus in captivity for the most part do not have tusks. Their concrete environment soon damages them.
They can weigh over 2 tons and reach a length of 15 feet.
These fellows are adults.

Ah! You should mention that animals are captive, not wild. It makes a big difference in many ways. I see several wild walrus every summer.

You're right Apaflo. I had made that distinction in a previous post but forgot to include it in this one.
Sorry for the misinformation. You are lucky to see these in the wild. Our best opportunity is the zoo.
