This pose of the wedding party is probably the best one I've taken.
Part of the ceremony was on the other side of these stone blocks. Thus, a few people in the background.
In download view, looks like I over sharpened....

Outstanding,Pat. Love the pose.
have you considered cloning out the few people in the background? I am sitting in a hospital looking on my phone, but from what I see, you have a winner here. I'm betting that you will sell a nice sized print.

Thank you, bkyser!!
This from 3 years ago. Should have cloned them out. Freebie for the family.

I'm sure they were thrilled! I only asked about cloning out the people, because I am sometimes on the ledge about "this is what was REALLY there" and "better composition through electronics" :-) Was just wondering what your thoughts were. Sometimes, I do it both ways to see what the couple thinks, and generally, it seems that I'm the only one that notices.

Ok. I took a lot of shots in the same place. There were people in them. So, I left them all there.

It's really a very nice shot. It is so easy to critique after the pressure is off though. One of things I have been working on over the years is posing. It is the hardest thing to do when people are milling about, distracting the couple and the party, and everyone is getting pulled a hundred different ways. Often times when I look at my work I am telling myself I should've done this or that. We are our own worst critics. Having said all that here is some food for thought from someone who always thinks he could've done something better than he did.
The bridesmaid that is sitting, maybe cross her ankles. The other bridesmaid is standing tall, bend a knee. I would take the groomsmen's foot down, it's a bit too masculine of a pose for the rest of the group, but maybe that's the kind of guy he is (so it works either way I think). All this is so easy to say after the heat is off, but posing is something I have been attempting to improve on every wedding I do.
All in all it's a great shot, well done.
