Did you post these hoping for a critique? Sorry to ask, but won't do so unless you want it.

Well, obviously it's not the beach; but in Ohio, McDonald's looks like it's close enough. I like how they ganged up on you, seagull fashion. I like 'em, good shots of birds in flight. I can tell on number 5 you were just showin' off.

Excellent shots and excellent set. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Erv, does this mean you are bringing out BIF 2.0?

:lol: :lol: :lol: How many French fries did it take for you to "bait" them into those poses, Erv. :wink:

You know that many BIF photogs practice on gulls to sharpen their technique. You did a good job.

We live a long way from the ocean but there's a landfill about 5 miles away to where the gulls follow the trucks that come from NYC and NJ (and some places in OH) to dump their loads. We have similar sights around the parking lots at malls in our area. I'm sure you had fun practicing you shots on those birds. Good job! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: Thanks for showing. :lol:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Nice going, Erv !

We have a similar situation here in Springfield, Ohio, but not with gulls, but with crows !

At this time of year all the way up until Spring of the next year, just around sunset, thousands of crows are flying south over our neighborhood and, then, just before daybreak on the following morning, thousands of crows are flying north over our neighborhood.. Yet, there are times when some of the crows decide that they need to take a break and trees for about a quarter mile all around us are jam packed with large black crows calling back and forth whereby it's impossible to not be awakened, even with our windows closed. :?

Albeit, I gave up hunting nearly 20 years ago whereas, today, I wouldn't even kill a bug, but if there were to ever be a time tempting me to pick up the old shotgun again, those darned old crows would be the first on my list. Am thinking that even my little "Maggie May" (our dog) has a difficult time dealing with them too, but, everyone, please know that I will not be picking up the old shotgun to shoot anything because when reality sets in, I know that even crows have a difficult time with dealing with winter weather and trying to survive just like all of the rest of us :thumbup:

Liked your photos, Erv :wink: ~Doug~

Hi Kuzano. If you want to critique you can. But as the folks that follow me on the site knows, it was for fun.:) Here in Ohio and with work I don't get many chances to find Eagles and other birds to shoot in flight.:)

Thanks:):) It was a long day at work and I had to go get supplies. When I saw all these in the parking lot I just had to stop quick and take a few to goof with everyone here.:):) They do get close if you have fries.:):)

I know Tom, pretty cool right!:) It has something for everyone tho. Sears, Home Depot for the guys and Dress Barn and Kolls for the ladies.:) And some great shots for everyone, on what not to do. :):) I guess I should have slowed down the truck a little and rolled down the window? Everyone was looking at me funny there too. Going around in circles?
