Bosque Del Apache New Mexico

I spent the morning at Bosque Del Apache and was surprised by the number of Bald Eagles and other raptors that I saw. More surprising was the lack of ducks. Usually the ponds are almost over run with ducks but not today.

Very enjoyable variety. I like how you were able to catch the heron's eye through all the reeds. Looks like those crows are hoping to steal a free meal should the bald eagle score. Here it's magpies.

They acted like poor guests irritating him from time to time. I expected him to leave at one point but he changed hisind.
I followed this heron down a ditch and was able to come in behind him.

I love the Bald Eagle taking a rest from being harassed by the Murder of Crows. Nice work Jim.
