No - the size is slightly different and a new grip has been released.

The new grip works very differently. The batteries are placed in a tray that slides into the grip from the left side (as seen from the back of the camera).

Also, there is an additional multi directional controller on the new grip and a "focus type change" lever. These give you additional functionality that the grip for the 7D did not have.

I'm happy with mine - fills your hand nicely and is very solid.
