With lots of 5th thru 9th graders forming a semi-circle in the street in front of him, this gent proceeded to gross some of them out while others looked on with interest. BTW, when he pulled the nail carefully out, he dropped it on the little table in front of him and it made the typical sound of a falling nail.
My feeling... YUK!

He didn't actually tap the nail with the hammer. He wiggled the nail in until it was near his index finger... maybe a half inch from the nail head. After taking the 2nd image above, it was time to lower the camera and watch the crowd reaction.
