I was posting this photo, not as a political statement but, as an art form. Peace Maker is merely what this pistol came to be known as.

GREAT PHOTO, To many flower shots, the real thing was a real shot maker pacemaker .

i like it, great separation from the background. Did you shot it this way and used light to separate it from the background or you PS the gun on top of the background?

PSE 12 to cut it out and layered it on top of the background.

That is a Remington 1858, the "The Peace Maker" was the Colt 1873. I have experience with both and own an 1858 reproduction.

I have a set of these, all different. I went on line and found photos of this and they were call Peace Makers.
All I know is that they killed a lot of Indians and made Remington a lot of money!

I might post the others tomorrow if I have time.

There's more to the story in regards to the bad luck that the Remingtons acquired. I can't recall what it was but I do remember thinking if that was their reward? By the way, nice image of some fantastic "plastic" work.
