More junk for the minds of the young. The movie is for real, but the character is from Greek Mythology.
Like Santa Clause, which I have an 8 year old grand-son that will argue for hours that he is real. By the time I was 5 I had that one figured out, and had been suspicious since I was 4.
The minds of our kids have been eroded by Tv, video games, and such junk as this movie. I am glad I will not!, have to see a world ran by them. :)
Let's see. His father was Zeus who was a god and his mother was mortal.
Sort of reminds me of a Christian fairytale that I've heard.

When the goal is to create acceptance of a new religion, mimicking aspects of the previous religion(s) will always make
the job easier.....Then you just add one new detail(ghosts), and claim yours is the superior product.....
Google "virgin birth" legends.....
Google "resurrection" legends...
Google "flood" legends.............

Yeah, what young people need today is Bible Study. No mythology there! Did your grandkids enjoy the movie "Noah"?
The movie is for real, but the character is from Greek Mythology. You are right, it's a real movie but the content isn't. We all know that Greek mythology was a collection of fables. Now when it comes to Jewish mythology, that's a completely different story.

I'm glad you won't either.

Sorry but I think I'd rather my kids watched/read about legends like this and Davy Crocket, Paul Bunyan, Allen Quartermain, etc. than idolizing current athletes as heros. It stirs the imagination of children and that is a good thing.
