I like that this is done in monochrome- very nice. I also like the negative space which can be used for advertisements, etc. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the sax looks a little soft... but maybe that was your intent. Overall, I think it's a good portrait. I love shooting musicians and this is one I'd be proud to have taken!

Besides the fact that I would not have cropped out the left side of the guys arm, the top curve/mouthpiece of the sax, I think it's a great pic:) Another 1/4 or 1/2 inch on the right would do it for me. I love jazz! I just finished (today was our final - er, party) a b/w darkroom class, my first such adventure in more than 30 yrs...I got an A:)
