I always keep a P&S camera in my truck, as you can see it comes in handy.

All are lovely, the silhouette trees are great in combination with the colorful clouds.

Breathtaking images, Mike! I particularly love #3, but would be thrilled to have shot any of them.

Here is a perfect example of why it's the photographer who sees and creates art, not the $$$ camera :)

Thank you very much for your gracious comment Linda. On # 3 I had to stop on the freeway with my emergency flasher on, couldn't miss that shot. You told my some time ago that you remembered Treasure Island, I was there last evening we had a fantastic sunset over the SF skyline, me and 50 other photographers.

I suspect you'd do great work with a pinhole camera, lol. Great shots again, Mike.

Gorgeous shots; it is hard to choose between the rich reds of the sky in #3 and the soft, subtile colors in #4.

According to the EXIF, these pictures were taken by some kind of Leica. Does it produce a RAW file or does it provide some way of turning off the WB logic? I ask because I'm wondering how you prevented the WB logic from ruining the rich sunrise colors.

Thank you very much Randy, the camera is a Panasonic Lumix but it has a Leica lens. More than half a century ago I owned a Pinhole camera, it was a cardboard box that you assembled yourself and it was made by Kodak. It used 120 film I tried it but you had to know the exposure time which was a few minutes, I never got any results.
